I chose this project because it provides information on how people with mental illness and their families experience discrimination in our society. 

Objective #10:  Contribute to the service - centered focus of the university in promoting intellectual, ethical, social, and cultural professional growth to enrich one's own life and the lives of others in a preparation for functioning professionally in a variety of entry -level practice setting. 

I chose this article because it talks about the positive impact of the NASW, which affects the individuals, organizations, and communities.  This is a guideline that enables me to be professional at all times and I believe that if I live by these ethics, my personal life will iproduce positive results.
